Some of these questions may be repeats of the ones Knittymama will send to us with our swap buddies, but I couldn't resist getting the knitting talk going!
I'm finishing up my Socktoberfest socks now - late - and am also working on the "Little Shop of Horrors" blanket. The one that keeps begging me to feed it with more yarn! (Long story going back 4+ years...) I need to get going on a cardigan sweater for my 9-month old son's dedication next month but am still searching for the perfect pattern (any ideas?!) and have tons of little Christmas-stocking-stuffer-type things swirling around in my head.

I'm working on hats. 2 more for my kids, one for me! Also cotton washcloths, my second sock ever, contemplating gift knitting and Fuzzy Feet.

There's some ArtYarns Regal silk at my LYS that's beautiful, just no project in mind for it.
• What's your favorite yarn and why?
I don't have a favorite yarn. I use what strikes my fancy. I've had good success with lots. Don't care for mohair, as it makes me itch.
• What's your favorite yarn store and why?
Hands down The Sow's Ear. It's my very LYS, where I've taken lots of classes, including learning how to knit just 3 years ago. It's a combination LYS and coffee shop- the perfect match! The yarn, wools especially, smell like coffee! It's what made me sign up for this swap! I'd link it if I knew how!
I'm knitting a hat for my honey, from Rowan Tapestry. Just finished my Socktoberfest socks-- knee socks with pompoms for my 5-year-old.
I'm coveting the famed Malabrigo.
I don't have a favorite yarn per se, but I love merino blends-- Rowan wool cotton, Karaoke wool/ soysilk, etc.
I love kpixie-- great selection, reasonable prices, nice layowut. I also like my LYS, especially now that it's moved to a huge new location only a mile from my house!
I am knitting the lift and separate wrap from big girl knits and the central park hoodie from knitscene.
I am feeling the Noro kureyon. But,that's because I have an idea for another project in my mind.
My favorite yarn is Malabrigo. I believe that if someone loves you they will give you malabrigo. It is butter!
My fav LYS is stix-n-stitches in Montclair. The people who work there are so nice, knowledgeable and btw they have a coffee machine for their customers. You can sit and knit and sip coffee= heaven.
