My Wonderful Package!

After a grueling week at work, I came home on Friday to find my swap package on my front porch! I'm ecstatic to say that my partner spoiled me far too much! Just check out this loot!!

KCS Package

Here's what I got
  • Knitscene Winter 08/Spring 09 (I almost bought this magazine on Monday!)
  • The Sculptress (she apparently found my weakness for mystery novels)
  • A French Press travel mug (now I can make GOOD coffee and work!)
  • two different coffees that just smelled heavenly when I open the box - I tried the Cuzco this morning - YUM!
  • a pouch of kitty treats for Frisco (which he absolutely loves!
  • Avon goodies (hand lotion, hand sanitizer - perfect purse size, bubble bath, nail files)
  • a keychain flashlight
  • a little coffie cup candle holer (so cute)
  • And of course and beautiful skein of Araucania Rance is gorgeous Victorian pink and green.
I couldn't resist, here are a few pictures of Frisco eating her treats! As you can see he was impatient for his treat as I wat trying to take pictures that he tried to pull my hand down to this mouth!

Package Received From my Wonderful Partner

Cairi sent me this wonderful package well over a month ago! I sent her a personal "Thank You", but I have been in technology purgatory, so have not been able to post about it here or on my blog. Hopefully now, all is back as it should be and I can give her a proper public "Thank You" for my wonderful package of goodies!
She sent a package of local, Melrose Blend Coffee which I absolutely loved (yes, past tense--I drank it all!) She also sent a beautiful skein of sock yarn that she hand dyed, you can find her at www.cazza269.etsy.com and she has more beautiful sock yarns available there! Cairi also knit me a wonderfuly soft self-striping hat which I'm sure will find lots of use this winter, and a cute little wooden sheep she found in a local shop. The card has a beautiful flower, and there was also a set of needles that somehow didn't make it into the picture. Thanks so much Cairi for making this swap so much fun!!

Mine too!

My package has arrived with lots of wonderful things inside. It must have spent considerable time at customs - and I agree coffee and yarn is a dangerous combination - one might just sit at home drink coffee and knit- or might join the international knitting in public day tomorrow. For more details and pictures check here
My swap pal Laurie took so much care in putting it all together. She put in extra info about the yarn and coffee. It's just like mid-year Christmas! Thank you Laurie, and thank you Knittymama for arranging this swap! It was my first online swap and it was a fantastic experience.

London Goodies

Thank you, thank you, my dear coffee-drinking, caffeine-addicted, across-the-Atlantic friend for the package! The picture doesn't do it justice. Such good wonderful items I have received! I love this swap. I love coffee. With the American three-day weekend coming up, I can't wait to start on, tee-hee, yet another project with my new yarn. Maybe the caffeine will help...no, probably not. I will still have a number of projects scattered throughout my house and life to finish up, but why would that wool just sit there when it could become some jazzed-up socks on my feet? Rhetorical question. Check out my blog for more details of the package.
